For people with chronic pain, a series of massages is usually necessary. I suggest a series of 3-5 massages with one massage every 3-7 days. When you have no more pain from one massage to the next, it is time to reduce the frequency of your sessions.
You will know after the first massage if what I do will be helpful to you, although the greatest benefit occurs after a series.
If you have had chronic pain for a long time, maintenance massages may be necessary. These can occur at 2-8 week intervals as long as necessary and help continue to train your body to better heal itself.
